Celebrate the beauty of flight in two very different ways. Soar through Monteverde’s cloud-forest canopy on Selvatura Park’s extensive zipline course, then slow the pace during a guided visit to a tropical Butterfly Garden filled with color and fascinating natural history.
What You Can Expect
Check in at Selvatura Adventure Park and prepare for two contrasting Monteverde experiences. The canopy tour begins with equipment fitting and a safety briefing before you travel between elevated forest platforms. After the adrenaline, enter the warm, colorful Butterfly Garden with a guide to observe tropical species and learn about their life cycles and adaptations.

Cloud-Forest Canopy Tour
Zip through the forest on approximately 13 cables and 15 platforms, including a cable roughly 1 kilometer long. Eligible guests may choose the optional Tarzan Swing, while a Superman-style upgrade may be offered for an additional fee.
Guided Butterfly Garden
Explore a large tropical conservatory with a guide and observe more than 30 butterfly species among lush plants. Learn about metamorphosis, behavior, camouflage and the butterflies’ ecological importance.
The activity order and timing can change because of weather, maintenance, safety or operational requirements.

Meeting Point and Schedule
Meet at Selvatura Adventure Park near Monteverde and Santa Elena. Common start times are 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., subject to availability. Arrive 15–30 minutes before your confirmed time. Select drive-direct or available Monteverde transportation during booking and follow the instructions on your voucher.
What to Bring
- Mandatory closed-toe athletic shoes
- Comfortable activity clothing or long pants
- Light rain jacket or poncho
- Reusable water bottle
- Insect repellent and sunscreen
- Camera or phone secured with a strap
- Hair tie for long hair
Participant Requirements
- Minimum canopy age: 4 years.
- Maximum canopy weight: 125 kg (275 lb), subject to harness fit.
- Tarzan Swing maximum weight: 90 kg (198 lb).
- Superman position requires at least 55 kg (121 lb) and a minimum height of 1.55 m (61 in).
- Canopy activities are not suitable during pregnancy or for guests with heart problems, osteoporosis, significant back problems or surgery within the previous six months.
- Closed shoes are mandatory; long hair must be tied back and large hoop earrings are not permitted.
- Do not touch butterflies or leave the marked Butterfly Garden path.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel 48 hours or more before the tour for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours but at least 24 hours before the tour may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. Review the final terms shown during checkout.

What is included in the Bronze Pack?
The complete canopy zipline tour and a guided Butterfly Garden visit are included.
Are hanging bridges included?
No. Choose the Gold or Diamond Pack if you want the treetop walkways and hanging bridges.
Is the Hummingbird Garden included?
No. The current official Bronze Pack includes the Canopy Tour and Butterfly Garden only.
How long does the package take?
Allow approximately 3–3.5 hours, depending on group size, weather and operations.
Can young children participate?
Children must be at least 4 years old to participate in the canopy tour and must meet all current safety requirements.

Zipy Ride –
The Bronze Pack was a wonderful half-day experience. The canopy course delivered plenty of excitement, and the guides explained the equipment clearly and helped everyone feel comfortable. Visiting the Butterfly Garden afterward was a peaceful and colorful contrast. Our guide shared interesting details about the butterflies’ life cycles, and we had time to take photographs without feeling rushed. Bring closed shoes and a rain jacket because Monteverde weather can change quickly. This is a great package for travelers who want adventure and nature without spending the entire day at the park.
