  1. Zipy Ride

The Butterfly Garden was a peaceful and fascinating addition to our day at Selvatura Park. Our guide explained the complete butterfly life cycle and helped us notice eggs, caterpillars and chrysalises that we would have missed on our own. Seeing blue morphos and other colorful butterflies moving through the tropical plants was beautiful. The visit is short and the garden is warm and humid, so dress lightly and keep a lens cloth handy. It was especially enjoyable for our children and gave us a much better understanding of Costa Rica’s butterflies.
