Selvatura Park Hanging Bridges: Self-Guided Cloud Forest Walk
Walk through Monteverde’s cloud forest from ground level to the treetops on Selvatura Park’s Treetop Walkways. Follow approximately 3 kilometers of forest trails and cross eight suspension bridges at your own pace while enjoying sweeping canopy views and opportunities to observe native plants and wildlife.
What You Can Expect
After checking in at Selvatura Park, set out independently along a maintained cloud-forest trail. The route moves through different forest levels and over eight wide suspension bridges, creating changing views of the canopy, ravines and surrounding vegetation.
This is a self-guided nature walk rather than a guided wildlife tour. Take your time, listen for birds and enjoy the forest atmosphere, but remember that wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Mist and rain are part of Monteverde’s cloud-forest environment, so arrive prepared for changing conditions.

Zipy Ride –
The hanging bridges gave us a completely different view of Monteverde’s cloud forest. The route was easy to follow, the bridges felt sturdy and we appreciated being able to stop for photos without rushing. It was misty during part of our walk, which made the forest feel especially atmospheric. Good walking shoes and a light rain jacket were definitely useful. We did not see many animals, but the scenery alone made the visit worthwhile.
