Your guide will collect you from your selected hotel in the La Fortuna area before setting out for a full day of rainforest scenery, volcanic history, wildlife viewing and outdoor adventure.

The experience combines three distinct environments: the volcanic landscape around Arenal, the forest and swimming area at La Fortuna Waterfall, and the elevated trails and suspension bridges at Mistico. Expect a moderately active day with extended walking, uneven and rocky sections, approximately 500 stairs at the waterfall, and changing rainforest weather.

Pickup is available from selected hotels in the La Fortuna area. Departure times normally range from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m., depending on your accommodation. Hotel pickups may begin 30–60 minutes before the scheduled tour departure.

Please reconfirm your exact pickup time and location the day before the tour or upon arrival in La Fortuna. If you are staying in a vacation rental or a property without a clearly marked address, provide detailed directions and arrange a convenient meeting point in advance.

The complete experience lasts approximately 9–10 hours. You will return to your original departure point after the tour. Actual timing can vary with pickup location, weather, trail conditions, traffic and group pace.
